I have entered an event at the World Masters Games 2017. As it getting closer (it’s in April) I realise I haven’t done anywhere near enough training. So from now on you are going to see me do a lot more running.
I entered the event for motivation to train and that motivation is kicking in now.
If you are struggling for motivation, entering an event could be just what you need. There are so many things out there you can do. Walking, running, swimming, cycling, triathlons SUP races. There is something for almost everyone. Have a look at websites like www.eventfinder.co.nz or Total Sport for inspiration. You could also look at ongoing events like Beach Series,New Zealand Ocean Swim Series or Stroke and Stride and see if you can better your times each week.
